Hi johnys, to register a bike as 'french' you would need the original log book (or a new one) - they use this as the basis of the 'carte gris' issued by the perfecture. However, as the bike was never 'produced' even if you get a UK log book you may still run into problems, anything thats not 'standard' can create a lot of paper work!

Hi Mike its been a long time since i contacted you but since moving here its been one thing after another with storm damage, registering the car ,that was a job and a half with Citroen, now its time for the bike and it appears i have even more problems as its a 1991 pre certificate of conformity so have to go a different route looks like a trip to a Kawasaki dealer and Kawasaki France to see if he can fill in the relevent forms and give a certificate must try and get down the bar one of these Fridays.
