Correze (19) is not a department that many know. For this precise reason it boasts some of the emptiest roads in France. The mountains to the north east of the department have some spectacular roads, but most of the roads will leave you with a silly smile on your face.

A chap called Jacques Chirac is from Correze and he pumped millions into the department with many of the rural roads being totally resurfaced leaving the whole department a potential biking mecca.

Best kep secret in France.

Dunny is right on there...

Notably there is the D16 from Treignac to Egletons wicked undulating and mega twisty. Good for all levels of experience.

D940 from Tulle to Payrat Le Chateau the best bit has to be from Eymoutier to Payrat Le Chat and the Bellarive Hotel is a must stop for a nice cuppa.

The N120 from Tulle to Aurillac is just to die for.

As is the D922 from Aurillac to Bort les Orgues.

Then the D979 runs from Bort to Treignac to finish a good 200 mile round trip of blisteringly fast, sticky, and twisty roads through some great views and pleasant villages with good cafe's...
